BatFlattery started as a way for me to express and work through two contradictory feelings that have accompanied me for much of my life: the first being an almost-obsessive interest in technology, and the second being a kind of metaphysical exhaustion brought on by that obsession, as I start to wonder who is serving whom. (Do our gadgets exist to serve us, or do we exist to see to their endless recharging needs?)
Of course things have gotten considerably out of hand since then.
