Beer and ale rituals
Monday, December 10th, 2007I was interested in this story about a monastery in Belgium that has an elaborate ritual around the buying of its beer. I was recently in New York for business, but fortunately was there over the weekend as well, so I got to do some experiencing of more than just hotels and offices. Last Sunday I took the subway down to the Village in search of McSorleys, said to be the oldest pub in NYC. It has some rituals of its own.
