Fair enough. It's a weird feeling when you move an old blog and zombie posts start pinging other blogs as if they'd just been written.

Yeah, I suppose that, based on that single sentence, what I said is a misinterpretation of our exchange. I believe it's a lot more representative of the thrust of your original post, however, although I appreciate now that you were exaggerating to some extent for comic effect.

I say "now" because I wrote the original post some time ago and it has only now come to your notice because I switched my blog from Blogger to Wordpress: when I imported all my old posts, Wordpress obviously went off and did all the pingback stuff that I confess I am unused to, as Blogger does not participate in it.

Let me just say now that it's slightly embarrassing to read the words of my younger self on your blog, and I think I've calmed down a bit since then!

he remained stubbornly of the opinion that film would forever remain superior to digital imaging.

That's a funny way of interpreting what I actually wrote during our exchange:

Once CCDs in digital SLRs are big enough and sensitive enough then film will die forever

The rumours are that Sony will be bringing out a full-frame dSLR (that can take my lenses) soon. As soon as I can afford one then I'll buy it.
